Polling to Re-Elect Senator Steve Litzow
Sen. Steve Litzow is a long-time resident of Mercer Island, where he was twice elected to the city council before being chosen in 2010 to represent Washington's 41st Legislative District in the state Senate. He is considered a moderate Republican; pro-choice, the first Republican to support marriage equality on the floor of the Senate and endorsed by Washington Conservation Voters. In 2011, Litzow was also presented with the "Leadership Award" by the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition.
Litzow built a bipartisan re-election team in 2012, earning endorsements from organized labor, the business community, green activists, the Cascade Bicycle Club, Equal Rights Washington and the League of Education Voters. In order to pass progressive legislation, we need moderate Republican voices like Senator Steve Litzow. Our benchmark and tracking polls helped the Litzow Campaign with both primary and general election messaging and voter targeting strategy.
